Noosa Deep sea & River Fishing Safaris is a three boat operation that covers the full spectrum of fishing . From the stocked impoundments inland to the productive reef grounds off Noosa and Double Island Point, from Bass and Saratoga to Tuna and Marlin with nothing missed in between and with guides who are fishermen that have spent there lives fishing throughout Australia as well as internationally.

Noosa Deep Sea & River Fishing Safaris is owned and operated by Kay and Karl van der Heyden since the late ninety's and are both dedicated to insuring that your experience is one you will remember.

We cater to all skill levels from first timers who get the extra attention required to assist in not only capturing there first fish but the correct way to handle the different species of fish for there safe and healthy return to the water or for preparing for the pan through to the professional fisherman who just wants to be taken to where the fish are and stretch some line.

BECKY 11 

Becky 11 is our smallest boat but has the most diverse range of duties. Built from glass over ply she is heavy for her size, she is foam filled, powered by a Yamaha 50hp four stroke motor and Minn Kota equipped and is the most stable and quiet boat in its size range. Built to QLD 2C survey this boat is just as at home in the stocked impoundments chasing Bass and Saratoga or in the Noosa River chasing Tarpon on fly or Mangrove Jack in the snags also working plastics on Trevally, Tailor and massive Flathead that inhabit the area as well as when bar conditions are right head out on Laguna Bay hunting Tuna and Mackerel on light line.

Destinations

Noosa River

From Lake Cootharaba to the mouth of the Noosa River can be fished in a half day session targeting species like Mangrove Jack, Trevally, Tailor, Bream, Whiting and Flathead on Fly, Soft Plastics, Hard body Lures and Live Bait.

Upper Noosa River

From Lake Cootharaba up stream through the Everglades and Kin Kin creek is best on a full day targeting Australian Bass, Tarpon, and Mangrove Jack located in the stunning setting of Cooloola National Park.

Lake McDonald

Located near the Town of Cooroy a short drive west of Noosa, This Stocked impoundment contains Australian Bass, Saratoga and Mary River Cod, this dam can fish very well but when it's bad it's oh so sad.

Lake Burumba

Located about one hours drive north west of Noosa This stocked impoundment is an exceptional fishery with good stocks of Australian Bass and Saratoga making this dam a lure fishermans paradise with some exceptional specimens hooked regularly. This dam is best fished on a full day.

Laguna Bay 

Laguna Bay can be an awesome place to fish when the bar conditions are right in the warmer months as at time the Bay is full of Tuna (Northern Blue, Yellow Fin, Mack Tuna) and Mackerel both Spotty and Spanish That  can give the most hardened fisho a run they will not forget on Fly and Light Line Lure. Laguna Bay can be fished on a Half day depending on conditions.  

Becky 11 can fish up to three people but is best with two

All tackle is supplied and is of high quality, bring your pet gear if you prefer

Light refreshments are supplied on board with lunch on full days

 Becky is a 7 meter Cairns Custom Craft. The absolute Limousine for fishing on the Noosa River. Becky has a full sun canopy with toilet facilities, large casting platform on bow, live fish and live bait holding tanks and is powered by eco friendly 140 hp Suzuki four stroke engine.

All our guides have vast experience on the Noosa River and will point out the land marks along the river but most importantly they will endeavour to put you on the fish that this charter company is renown for

We fish the full length of the Noosa River from the salt to the fresh depending on targeted species. All high quality rods and reels are well maintained for your ease of use. Complimentary snacks, tea, coffee, cold soft drinks  and water supplied. Insect repellent and sun block onboard. Lunch is supplied on full days

Large groups and families are catered for with ease on this vessel,

KING KONG

King Kong is a 7.6 metre Bertram that has been heavily customised for sport and game fishing having had all the cabin removed and a centre console fitted giving a massive amount of room for work and play, specialising Reef Fishing, Deep Sea jigging, Sport and Game fishing.

Now repowered with a pair of the latest 2008 model 175hp Suzuki engines

Personalised service is assured as we only allow 6 anglers at a time
